Just to say I&#039;m involved in concert production myself and trust be BBC big weekend goes well into the millions in terms of cost to produce...However a surprising large amount of money is made back from sponsorship, artist promotion and a major contributor is major companies like CCS who run the bars there. They would have to give massive amounts of money to BBC to take money from the bars.

Also while you are correct in saying that BBC promote the event and ticket it the actual event production is outsourced to two seperate companies so people logistics, site management, stage design/build, security etc. is not run by BBC directly..but you would be correct in saying that BBC do everything to do with artists including booking, liason,etc.</description>
